My Story

My current artistic practice draws inspiration from Korean folk art that depicts natural scenes

of everyday life. The contexts in my work range from anatomy, to nature, to human impact on

the environment, often favorite subjects are flowers and animals that evoke emotional

connection with humans. I paint quotidian and nostalgic objects or scenes that flow from my

life and memories. Through the integration of traditional and modern painting techniques, I

convey the story of modern life. As much as creating artwork has been healing and meditative

process that has brought me tranquility and peace, I hope it can have the same effect to the

audience sharing the work.
